FULL TIME KITCHEN PORTER
About Us:
We’re proud to be part of Classic Lodges – a collection of eight characterful hotels set in some of the UK’s most captivating destinations. Each of our hotels has its own personality, but we’re united by one shared purpose.
Our purpose is simple and powerful: to create meaningful experiences that connect people, places and memory.
That means we don’t just offer stays, we create moments that matter. Whether it’s a relaxing escape, a special celebration, or a memorable business event, we focus on the details that turn stays into stories our guests will always remember.
If you take pride in what you do, value genuine hospitality and enjoy working as part of a team, you’ll feel right at home with us.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. In this Full‑time role you will support the kitchen’s day‑to‑day operations, ensuring cleanliness, organisation and basic prep tasks are completed to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who is practical, flexible and keen to be part of a busy hospitality environment.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, equipment and storage spaces.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping and portioning under the direction of chefs.
Clear and stack service areas during and after service to keep workflow efficient.
Receive and store deliveries, check goods against delivery notes and assist with stock rotation.
Dispose of waste responsibly and follow recycling procedures.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
Work flexibly to cover busy periods, weekends and occasional evening functions.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
Good teamwork skills and a reliable, punctual approach to work.
Ability to work quickly and remain calm during busy service periods.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene; willingness to undertake training, including Food Hygiene Level 2 where required.
Physical fitness to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
Right to work in the UK.
