The Opportunity:
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Food and Beverage Assistant to join the team at Grinkle Park. This role supports our front‑of‑house operation across breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening service, as well as events. The successful candidate will deliver warm, attentive service and help maintain high presentation and hygiene standards for our guests.

Employment Type: Both Full and Part Time available, Permanent
Duties
Provide welcoming, efficient and professional service to guests in the restaurant, bar and for private events.
Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring presentation and portion standards are met.
Prepare service areas, set tables and maintain cleanliness in line with hotel standards.
Operate point‑of‑sale systems and handle cash and card payments with integrity and attention to detail.
Assist with buffet and beverage replenishment, tray service and clearing as required.
Support basic stock rotation, carry out simple stock counts and report low stock to management.
Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and resolve minor issues, escalating when necessary.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping colleagues to ensure smooth guest experiences.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer‑facing hospitality role is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
Ability to work accurately in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
Basic numeracy and confidence handling cash and card transactions.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
Commitment to excellent presentation and a strong work ethic.
