The Opportunity:
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Part Time Food and Beverage Assistant to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent service, has a positive attitude, and can work flexible hours to support breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and evening service as required.
Duties
Provide welcoming, attentive and efficient service to guests in the restaurant, bar and for private events.
Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring presentation and portion standards are met.
Prepare service areas, set tables and maintain cleanliness in line with hotel standards.
Operate point-of-sale systems and handle payments with integrity and attention to detail.
Assist with buffet and beverage replenishment, tray service and clearing as required.
Support the team with stock rotation, basic stock counts and reporting low stock to management.
Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and resolve minor issues, escalating when necessary.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping colleagues to ensure smooth guest experiences.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
Ability to work accurately in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
Basic numeracy and confidence handling cash and card payments.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.

Additional Information
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent.
Expected hours: Variable; typically between 8–24 hours per week across a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Additional pay: Monthly Tips/Gratuities.
