Bartender - Lakeside Hotel & Spa
Set on the southern shores of Lake Windermere, just one mile from Newby Bridge, Lakeside Hotel & Spa is a luxury, full-service property offering 83 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, brasserie, spa, swimming pool and a conference suite with uninterrupted lake views. We are seeking a skilled and guest-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This is an important guest-facing role within the hotel, responsible for delivering exceptional service, creating high-quality drinks, and ensuring our guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable bar experience.
The Role
As a Bartender, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the hotel bar, providing friendly and professional service while preparing and serving a range of beverages to the highest standard. You will help create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for guests, whether they are enjoying a pre-dinner drink, a nightcap, or socialising with friends.
Working closely with the wider Food & Beverage team, you will ensure smooth service and maintain a high standard of quality and guest experience.
About You
You will bring:
• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant or hospitality environment
• A friendly, professional and confident approach when interacting with guests
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, beers and spirits (full training will be provided)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy service environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• A positive team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues
• Flexibility, reliability and a genuine passion for hospitality
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
• Creating classic and house cocktails to a high standard
• Providing friendly and attentive service to bar and lounge guests
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking and bar preparation
• Processing guest orders and payments accurately
• Recommending drinks and engaging with guests to enhance their experience
• Ensuring responsible service of alcohol in line with licensing regulations
• Working collaboratively with the restaurant and wider Food & Beverage team
