Hotel Receptionist - Lakeside Hotel & Spa

We are seeking a professional and guest-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our Front Office team. This is a key guest-facing role at the heart of the hotel, responsible for delivering a warm welcome and ensuring every guest experience begins and ends with exceptional service and a memorable stay.
The Role
As a Hotel Receptionist, you will play a central role in the daily front-of-house operation. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling enquiries, and ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards and genuine hospitality Lakeside Hotel & Spa is known for.
Working closely with other departments, you will help ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure.
About You
You will bring:
· Previous experience in a reception, front office or customer-facing hospitality role.
· A warm, professional and confident approach when dealing with guests.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
· A calm and solutions-focused approach in a busy environment.
· A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest service.
· Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
· Knowledge of PMS systems is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
· Flexibility, reliability and a positive team-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming guests and managing check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Handling guest enquiries, requests and reservations both in person and over the phone
Providing information about the hotel’s facilities, services and local attractions
Managing guest accounts, payments and accurate record keeping
Coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest needs are met
Maintaining a professional and organised front desk environment
Ensuring all guest interactions reflect the hotel’s high standards of service and hospitality
