Part Time Chef - 20 hours
Part Time Chef at Farington Lodge Hotel, 20 hours a week over 4 days, including breakfast and evening shifts and some weekends on a rota basis. Would suit some one local.
Farington Lodge Hotel have a friendly team and are always looking for positive and enthusiastic individuals to join us. We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Chef to work approximately 20 hours per week. This role will involve some early mornings, evenings and weekend shifts on a rota basis.
Role Overview
As a Part Time Chef you will assist in preparing and presenting high quality dishes across our outlets, maintaining food hygiene standards and contributing to a smooth-running kitchen. You will work alongside our culinary team to deliver excellent food consistently, ensuring guests receive a memorable dining experience.
Key Duties
Prepare, cook and present menu items to the standards set by the Head Chef.
Assist with mise en place and portion control to reduce waste and maintain consistency.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas.
Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures, including safe storage and labelling of food.
Support service during busy periods and work efficiently under pressure.
Report any maintenance or stock issues to the appropriate team member.
Collaborate with the team to develop menu suggestions and daily specials when requested.
Person Specification
Previous kitchen experience is desirable but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Good attention to detail with a commitment to consistent food quality and presentation.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
Punctual, reliable and flexible with working hours to meet service needs.
Awareness of basic food hygiene principles; a Food Hygiene Certificate level 2 is desirable and can be completed on site.
Physical stamina to work on feet for periods and undertake manual tasks as required.
Hours & Rate
Part time, circa 20 hours per week. Rotas will include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Pay will be competitive and in line with experience and local rates.

Additional Information
Experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be given.
