Key Responsibilities – Senior Chef De Partie Hotel Kitchen Role
- Prepare, cook, and present high quality dishes in your designated section, ensuring consistency and attention to detail at all times.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering a diverse range of menus for the restaurant, banqueting, and special events.
- Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards, adhering to all legal and company requirements.
- Assist with the training, guidance, and motivation of junior kitchen team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Contribute creative ideas for menus and support menu development with a modern, seasonal approach.
- Control stock levels, support with ordering, and ensure proper storage and wastage management within your section.
- React promptly and positively to guest feedback to continuously enhance the dining experience at The Old Swan Hotel.
Ideal Candidate Profile – Skills & Experience for a Senior Chef De Partie
- Proven experience in a Chef De Partie or Senior Chef De Partie position within a quality hotel or restaurant kitchen.
- Extensive knowledge of classical and contemporary cooking techniques.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Keen eye for detail, creativity, and genuine passion for producing memorable dishes.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and reliable, with the capability to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings as required.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent, plus a valid Food Hygiene Certificate, is desirable.
