Night Porter - Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa

The Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa are looking for a new team member to join our existing team, in the welcoming back and looking after our guests to the hotel.
Your role as a Night Porter will be varied and exciting in helping us keep the hotels high standards throughout the night, when the hotel is at it's quietest, in return for looking after the hotel overnight you will become an integral part of our family who will receive the support required with an excellent package and benefits.
- Straight shifts 11pm until 8am

- Paid monthly on a salary basis of £2506 (Live out). A live in position (on a live in wage) could be considered.
You will be in charge of the hotel once the day staff finish their shifts and be expected to manage all Fire / Health and Safety procedures throughout the night and if any issues occur and the need arises have the ability to enact our Emergency Action Plans if required with the assistance of our dedicated team.
The nightly routine will be based on the below:
- Taking over the management of the Hotel Bar & Reception which normally closes at midnight depending on demand
- Assisting our Residents if required throughout the night if required in case of emergency and to assist in any requests. You will also have the ability to check guests in and out using the Hotels property management system, Guestline. (Training can be given)
- You will perform regular security and maintenance checks of the property and ensure the hotel follows the same high standards throughout the night as it does during the day
- As part of our nightly routine you will be expected to hoover and clean the ground floor public areas within the hotel. Clean and make sure the Leisure Club is ready for the next days guests at 7.30am, you will also prepare the hotels restaurant for breakfast and prepare the hotel for re-opening and the arrival of your day time colleagues from 7.15am onwards
- You should have good communication and organisational skills and the desire to become a key member of our team. You must be able to speak English to a good standard and be eligible to work in the UK and provide appropriate documentation to support this
